Childish Gambino is undoubtedly making fans excited for his upcoming tour, announcing that Channel Tres will open up his Melbourne and Sydney shows next week.

Earlier this year, Aussie fans were treated to the stunning news that Childish Gambino would be making his return to Australia later this year as part of the Splendour In The Grass festival.

Taking place close to a year after a very publicised cancellation of last year’s Australian tour, fans were stoked to learn that old mate Donald Glover would be gifting fans a truly special music experience, with a run of sideshows also on the way.

Now, with this long awaited tour set to kick off over the weekend, Childish Gambino has revealed that rising rapper Channel Tres will be joining him at the Melbourne and Sydney shows as the opening act.

The Compton-born Channel Tres unleashed his self-titled debut just last year, dishing up a fusion of West Coast rap and deep house, and offering something for everyone along the way.

Now, with his Black Moses EP set for release on August 2nd, Channel Tres has found support all over the world, with the likes of Elton John, Disclosure, and Anderson .Paak all professing their love of this acclaimed musician.

With a highly-anticipated spot on the Splendour In The Grass lineup for next week, eager Aussie fans will get to witness something truly special when Channel Tres opens proceedings for Childish Gambino’s Melbourne and Sydney shows.

Tickets to these sideshows are on sale now, with appearances at Splendour In The Grass and Adelaide’s Spin Off festival also set to take place over the coming week.

With these performances set to be among some of the last in Childish Gambino’s illustrious career, fans are advised to get in quick to avoid missing out for good!
