Sydney rapper Chillinit will hit the road in support of his new album The Octagon. The record came out in late January and debuted at #2 in the ARIA charts.
Chillinit – aka Blake Turnell – will head off on his biggest tour to date next month. The Octagon world tour includes headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, plus a few dates in New Zealand and the UK.
Chillinit is also performing at the Lost City Festivals in Brisbane and Sydney, Hobart’s Right Now Festival and Gold Coast’s Greener Pastures Festival.

Although his affinity for weed is no secret, Chillinit’s known for his highly animated live performances. He embarked on The Ashes national tour in April 2019, selling in excess of 8000 tickets. The tour was named after the biennial cricketing contest between Australia and England. Chillinit’s massive cricket fandom is a curious and endearing quality amid his various pro-drug content.
Chillinit was born and raised in Hurstville, south east Sydney. He got his start in Sydney’s underground hip hop scene and released his debut album Women, Weed & Wordplay in October 2018. The record reached the ARIA top 20 and yielded the mega singles ‘One Breath One Take’ and ‘Wish You Well Pt. 2 (It’s A Vibe)’.

Chillinit has found an eager fanbase, which he calls the 420 Family. He’s made an impression on UK listeners, too, after becoming the first Australian MC to feature on Beats 1 series Fire In The Booth with Charlie Sloth in 2019.
Earlier this week Chillinit revealed in an Instagram post that he’d donated $10,000 to Sydney’s women’s refuge Lou’s Place. “This music shit is a blessing and it has changed my life so I thrive off being able to give to others as well as turn the fuck up and have some fun myself, good vibes only and live ya best lives fam,” he wrote.
