A new short film also accompanies the new set of music from Christine and the Queens.

It’s a good, good day to be a Christine and the Queens fan. Following on from her recent ‘People, I’ve been sad’ single earlier this month, Christine and the Queens have gifted fans with a brand new EP, La vita nuova.

The record comes at the culmination of a crazy period of touring, collaborations and industry attention that has followed the release of the acclaimed Christine and the Queens record Chris. Of course, there was the insane collaboration ‘Gone’ with Charli XCX, which wound up being a favourite on many end of year lists in 2019.

The arrival of Christine and the Queens on the radars of more people throughout 2019 proved her longevity in the game and the emergence of some seriously engaging and captivating pop music and songwriting.

We’re here for it.

With the release of La vita nuova, Christine and the Queens also release an accompanying short film of the same name. Over the course of 14 minutes, the EP is realised through Christine’s unique vision, with renowned Parisian opera house – Opéra Garnier – as the setting.

Directed by long-time collaborator Colin Solal Cardo, who has also worked with Robyn and Charli XCX, featuring choreography by Ryan Heffington (Sia’s ‘Chandelier’), the film also features Caroline Polachek. Check it out below.
