Watch Chvrches cover Kendrick Lamar for "Like A Version"

Chvrches are currently in the country for a massive performance at Splendour In The Grass and two huge sideshows. Before they get ready to hit the stage at Splendour tomorrow night, they stopped by the Triple J studios to perform a cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “LOVE.”.

The group also performed “Graffiti” off their recent release Love Is Dead. Their cover of Kendrick was clearly a nod to the rap superstar who is headlining the final night of Splendour this Sunday. This was the second time Chvrches have performed for Like A Version, their first visit was all the way back in 2014 during their headlining appearance at Laneway.

Back then the group pulled out a successful cover of “Do I Wanna Know?” by Arctic Monkeys. Four years later and with two more albums under their belt, the band pulled out a confident return to the studio and smashed their cover of the recent Lamar track.

Chvrches released their third album Love Is Dead in may to mixed reviews. The band will perform at Splendour tomorrow with two shows in Melbourne and Sydney over the following days. This is the first time the band has visited our shores since they headlined Laneway in 2016, and performed two sold out sideshows.
