Fans are shocked but supportive today, after hearing of Adam Brand‘s decision to cancel his Speed Of Life national tour.

Brand broke the news to fans on social media this morning.

“Due to a throat and vocal cord condition that needs immediate attention, I am unable to carry through with the planned Speed Of Life Tour,” he said.

“The doctors have laid out a 6-month surgical and rehabilitation plan that if I stick to will ensure a full recovery,” he continued.

“I hate to let people down, but this is something I cannot ignore anymore and need to deal with it once and for all.”

Those who have purchased tickets to the shows already will get a full refund from their point of purchase.

Brand also put his situation into perspective.

“I realise that people have been losing their homes, livelihood, family farms, loved ones, and all I’m losing is a voice!”

“We are all going through something in our lives but there are plenty worse off than me that need our love and attention,” he continued.

Brand will still perform a couple of times this year… most significantly at CMC Rocks Qld in March.

Brand’s new album Speed Of Life will also still be released this March.

We wish him a speedy recovery indeed.
