Following the announcement by Australian Prime Minster Scott Morrison that the federal government are advising against undertaking “non-essential” gatherings of over 500 from Monday, CMC Rocks Qld has been postponed.
It is with deep regret that the CMC Rocks QLD team announces the postponement of the 2020 event, due to take place in Willowbank, QLD next week.
As a result of the Australian Government’s announcement this afternoon, holding the festival is now infeasible and as such, the March festival cannot proceed as planned.
Ticketholders are advised to hold onto their tickets; we’re working to reschedule to October. Anyone who is unable to attend the new dates will be entitled to a full refund.
We thank the CMC Rocks community for their support and understanding during this unprecedented time.
Earlier in the week, festival promoters indicated that the event would proceed.
And co-headliner Kip Moore re-enforced his intent to play the festival as late as this morning.
But with matters now out of everyone’s control, promoters have been left with no choice but to postpone.
