Nashville-based Australian singer/songwriters Seaforth (pictured), Ruby Boots and Sinead Burgess have scored nominations for the first ever Global ARPA Music Awards.
The new awards will recognise Australasian songwriters, composers and music publishers in international markets.
Three seperate events will be taking place in LA, Nashville and London in 2020.
Four Global APRA Music Awards will be given out at each of the three ceremonies;
- Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year
- Overseas Recognition Award
- Songwriter of the Year
- Distinguished Services Award

For the Nashville event, Seaforth (Mitch Thompson and Tom Jordon), Ruby Roots (real name Rebecca Chilcott) and Sinead Burgess are nominated for the Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year award.
Writer Paul Mabury is also nominated.
Mabury and Seaforth are also nominated for the Overseas Recognition Award.
The winners of those awards will be announced in Nashville on February 1, 2020 at Clementine Hall.
The awards will be hosted by O’Shea.

Sarah Aarons, who is a co-writer on the Maren Morris hit ‘GIRL’ as well as ‘The Middle’ has also been nominated for the Overseas Recognition Award – for the Los Angeles event on February 26.
Seaforth will open for Keith Urban next week for two shows at the new Sydney Coliseum in Western Sydney.
They then return to Australia next March for CMC Rocks QLD.
