Courtney Barnett made her Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend, performing her songs ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go to the Party’ and ‘Pedestrian At Best’ on the Season 41 finale of the legendary US sketch show.

After being introduced by host Fred Armisen (with whom Courtney appeared in a chuckle-worthy promo for the upcoming episode), Courtney and her band launched into an absolutely blazing rendition of ‘Nobody Really Cares…’.

As the Australian singer-songwriter’s fans tweeted about how she got robbed at the Grammys and awaited an equally powerful performance of ‘Pedestrian At Best’, fans online were watching Courtney take part in a short skit with cast member Bobby Moynihan.

As we previously speculated, the skit was indeed about Courtney’s Australian origins, with the singer schooling Moynihan on some choice Australian slang and colloquialisms like ‘singlet’ and ‘ute’, before giving Paul Hogan a call.

Having absolutely slayed on SNL, Courtney is set to hit up Alabama’s Hangout Festival today, before returning to Australian shores for Splendour In The Grass. Check out Courtney’s performances and the skit below.
