Courtney Love has dashed our hopes of a reunion with her iconic ’90s group Hole, saying it will “absolutely not” happen.
Speaking to in a new interview with Vogue, Courtney revealed that she’d put the kibosh on plans to reunite with her bandmates while also announcing the debut of a new video cover series.
Speaking to the publication about a potential reunion, Courtney said: “No. Absolutely not. And you guys have gotta get over it.
“Our old manager Peter Mensch calls once a year to ask about a reunion: ‘Hey, just doing my thing I do every year with you and Jimmy Page. And I’m so honoured to be in that company, but it’s just not gonna happen.”
However, she assured us that’s there’s no bad blood between her and her former bandmates.
“We’re all really good friends and Melissa and I are especially close — we talk every day. But Eric is kinda off the grid right now — I think he’s in Japan literally becoming a monk. I’m not even kidding. Melissa, Patty and I think he’s become a monk or something on that level of aestheticism.”
It’s sure to be a disappointment for fans of Hole, as Courtney has previously hinted that she hoped to reunite with her bandmates.

In a May 2019 interview with The Guardian, Courtney hinted that a reunion was in the pipeline, saying: “We are definitely talking about it.”
“There’s nothing wrong with honouring your past.”
Meanwhile, in November 2020, Love told NME that she wasn’t against the idea of getting the group back together, saying she had been taking guitar lessons in preparation.
“Before I came back I actually had Melissa and Patty come with our tech to this old-world rehearsal studio,” she revealed.
“We had a good session, but it takes a bit of time to get back into the rhythm of it all. It’s something I’d love to do and been taking guitar lessons over Zoom during lockdown and I’m writing again so we’ll see!”
