After much eager anticipation, the organisers of Dashville Skyline 2015, a brand new Americana-themed music festival set to take over the Hunter Valley this October long weekend, have announced their inaugural lineup.
Kicking off this Saturday, 3rd October and rocking until Sunday, 4th October, Dashville Skyline will feature a sublime roster of local and international favourites, including Wagons, Bahamas, All our Exes Live in Texas, Green Mohair Suits, and more.
Dashville Skyline was brought together with a view to embracing the burgeoning Americana music scene in Australia, capturing elements from the movement’s nascent days in the late 1960s and celebrating the great music and culture surrounding modern Americana.
What’s more, today’s lineup drop is just a taste of things to come. “This is the first taste of a line up designed to reflect the sparse musical lineage between traditional roots music and modern Americana,” said organiser Matt Johnston.
“We’ve already sold out of our early-bird ticket allocation without an artist announcement, which is fantastic,” added Matt. “I think that people connect with the genre and are excited about the concept of this festival.”
Organisers pride themselves on delivering the best American cuisine, cars, and culture amidst the relaxed family atmosphere that Dashville has become known for, in addition to some events that are entirely unique to Dashville Skyline, such as songwriter-in-the-round sessions.
