It’s no news that Dave Grohl is one of the best people on the planet. On Monday, Grohl showed his gratitude to those combatting the Woolsey Fire in Los Angeles by serving Fire Station 88 free food from his recently launched Backbeat BBQ.

Grohl took to Instagram to share a photo with the station, sharing “To all the @losangelesfiredepartment and @lacountyfd heroes we met last night…thank you. It was an honor to cook for you.”

Fire Station 68 then went on to share their own photo with Grohl, writing “It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters. He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq . Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”. What a wholesome and heartwearming display of comradery.

These Californian wildfires have been the deadliest to date. It has claimed the lives of 44 people and caused mass devastation.  It has affected the homes of so many including Fred Durst, Neil Young, Miley Cyrus, Kevin Parker and Adam Jones.
