Nirvana’s rhythm section of Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic have teamed up to record a track together for the Foo Fighters forthcoming album. Mysteriously, he told BBC Radio1 that Novoselic simply “came in the other night and played bass on a song”. He also revealed that Nirvana producer Butch Vig is producing the album, saying that the sessions with the Nevermind producer were productive.”The last month and a half we’ve been in my garage recording totally old school analogue with Butch Vig. This whole project has been really cool because I haven’t made a record with Butch in 20 years, almost exactly 20 years.” Saying that the album will be the band’s “heaviest yet” Grohl has also revealed that the band has recorded a cover of Hüsker Du’s ‘Dear Rosemary’.
