Back in 2016, Aussie indie icon Angus Stone decided to take a step away from his famous familial duo and hit the solo path once again. Kicking things off with his new Dope Lemon project, this solo venture ended up hitting #11 on the Aussie charts with the debut album, Honey Bones.
Since then, Dope Lemon hasn’t been hampered by the comeback of Angus & Julia Stone, with the Hounds Tooth EP dropping in 2017, and now, a second full-length record on the way.
But how do you give your most dedicated fans something special to remember your new album by? A secret show? A free B-side download? Well, if you’re Dope Lemon, you dish out a dope tatt.
That’s right, Lemon Heads (that’s Dope Lemon fans, not Evan Dando admirers) will be able to score themselves some free ink this week, with a bunch of locations around the country celebrating the release of Smooth Big Cat on Friday, July 12th.
All you have to do is head along to one of the participating parlours in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, or Perth this Friday and grab your free Lemon Head tattoo.
Yes, a cute little ink rendering of the Dope Lemon logo is all yours, but be sure to get in quick, because it’s first-in, best-dressed (providing you’re over 18, that is).

In related news though, Dope Lemon will be celebrating the release of his new album with a performance at Splendour In The Grass later this month, before heading out on an Aussie tour in August, and running off to perform a run of shows in the UK and Europe soon after.
