Mainstay of the Australian hip-hop scene and habitual ARIA Award winner Drapht is up to his old tricks once more, cutting off a hot slice of new material in the shape of ‘Summer They Say’, and sprinkling on a healthy dose of headline tour dates in support.

Dropping just in time for things to start warming, ‘Summer They Say’ is poised to become a defining hit of our warmer months. Hell, with that upbeat, laid back vibe, punchy and cheeky wordplay and crisp soundscape, it’s down-right destined to become a defining hit of our summer.

“I’ve been so inspired by a bunch young-bloods in the scene over the last year, that it has really pushed me to up my game,” says Drapht of ‘Summer They Say’. “But it feels great to be back with new material that I’m really excited about, a new home for my music and a bunch of parties around the country scheduled in to celebrate.”

Having set the standard for Australian rappers for more than a decade, to say Drapht is currently on a heater doesn’t quite cover it: The dude has always been on a heater.

In 2011, he dropped the platinum selling, chart-topping, ARIA Award-winning album The Life Of Riley, which he wasted no time following up with the equally as ARIA-winning Seven Mirrors in 2016.

‘Summer They Say’ comes off the back of his most recent album, 2018’s Arabella Street and if this first offering of new material is anything to go by, which it absolutely is, we humbly advise Draft to make a bit more space on his ARIA shelf.
