Last week, news that Eminem had confronted an intruder in his Michigan home broke. Now, we’ve found out that it was the same man who earlier had stalked the famed rapper, and previously broken into his home on a separate occasion.
Although it only broke last week, the legendary rapper Eminem had his home broken into back in April by a 27-year-old man named Matthew David Hughes. The intruder evaded security, and made his way past the outside gate, breaking the window of the kitchen door before making his way into the living room.
While the alarm in the house blared, security rushed inside at the sound of the commotion, and detained Hughes, but not before he was confronted by Eminem, himself.
Now, Hughes is held on a $50,000 bond in Macomb County Jail, and it’s now known that he was also arrested in 2019 for similarly invading homes while on the search for the Rap God.
According to police reports obtained by TMZ, Hughes allegedly broke into a house in Rochester Hills, Michigan by throwing a rock through a window in the small hours in 2019.
When the authorities arrived, they were alerted by the homeowner that the suspect was gone, however Hughes later returned, knocking on a window and said that he was “looking for his brother, Marshall.”

Although Hughes initially walked off, when cops arrived he was found hiding beneath a bed on the upper floor of the property’s gatehouse.
During police investigation, they noted that Hughes was the perpetrator who had caused both incidents, and charged him with malicious destruction of property, where he spent 90 days in jail, as well as received $1,400 worth of fines, which he failed to pay, causing a warrant for arrest to be added to his file.
