Once again, quarantine is bringing us the goods as famed rapper Eminem has revealed that he’s working on new material while in lockdown.

Eminem has been in the headlines a lot lately – between him donating bowls of his ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ to Detroit hospitals, putting up some coveted Jordans for auction, and even having his home broken into, it’s amazing he’s finding time to dive into the music world.

The Rap God himself was a guest this week on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio show, where he chatted about the new Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls documentary titled The Last Dance, while also divulging the rappers they both enjoy, including Killer Mike, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole.

Then, the goods came out, and Eminem revealed that he was working on new tunes for us to get into. “I’m writing,” he detailed to Lil Wayne. “I’m writing and recording a little bit, not as much as I normally do, but it’s all good.”

Like the rest of us, the iconic rapper is waiting for COVID-19 to end, saying “I’m just waiting for this, us, being able to get past this thing, whenever that’s gonna be.”

Considering that the man has already given us 11 albums over the course of his 32 year career, and his latest album Music To Be Murdered By only came out in January of this year, it’s surprising to hear that he’s already keen on new material.

But, quarantine does bring out the best in musicians, it seems, with Metallica saying that “there’s a very good chance” we could see new music from them coming out of lockdown, as well as Tool saying that we might see a new album from them come out of this ordeal, and Ministry announce that they’re definitely making a lockdown record. Either way you look at it, we’re keen as for new Eminem tracks.
