I mean, this was always going to happen.

Whitney Houston’s estate this week announced a worldwide hologram tour and, as you can imagine, opinion was pretty divided over the announcement.

An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour, is set to be unveiled to audiences in Mexico in January. The tour continues through to Europe and the UK, with Houston’s team posting to Instagram to let people know.

The tour has been in the works for some time, though this is the first concrete information that has been released about where these shows will be popping up.

Fans of the late singer have voiced their disappointment and anger online, accusing Houston’s estate of continuing to profit off her name and music.

Pat Houston, Whitney’s former manager and the President of her estate told Rolling Stone, “We know we made the right decision partnering with BASE because they understand how important it is to produce a phenomenal hologram.”

“They also know that engaging her fans with an authentic Whitney experience would resonate worldwide because of the iconic status that she created over three decades.”

The tour is set to feature a live band and dancers, as well as new remastered arrangements of Houston’s hits including ‘I Will Always Love You’, ‘Greatest Love of All’ and ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)’.
