Hot chips and tom sauce, Havaianas and footy shorts, an Ibis and a park bin… The Chats and draught beer at Thredbo.

The Sunshine Coast rockers came to worldwide attention with the infuriatingly-catchy ‘Smoko’, and since then it’s been a wild ride of sold out international tour dates, and rubbing shoulders with the likes of the Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong (who they dubbed “Billy Joel”).

This month, The Chats will perform alongside The Presets, Vera Blue, The Rubens, Slowly Slowly and so many more at Snowtunes, the only festival in Australia which teams the most exciting live indie and rock artists with the picturesque backdrop of NSW’s Snowy Mountains.

From nods of approval from Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, and Parquet Courts, to punk’s wild child Iggy Pop tapping the band as his support at Festival Hall, we take you through some excellent Chats moments in the lead up to their set at Snowtunes.

The history of The Chats explained:

The Chats will be hitting up Snowtunes this month, you won’t want to miss seeing them live at Australia’s largest snow music festival!
