Earlier this week, the earth nearly fell off its axis after footage emerged of Australia’s EDM golden child Flume engaging in some risqué business at Burning Man Festival in Nevada.

The footage in question saw Harley Streten chowing down on a serving of his girlfriend, Paige Elkington’s toosh, midway through his set. Bussy-gate 2019 was an apparent reaction to a sign present in the Flume mosh pit that read, “Does Flume even eat ass?

Now, Streten has finally broken his silence and addressed the most seismic event of 2019. The producer shared a photo of himself chomping into a peach, adorning a shit-eating grin, captioned “it was a joke (sorry mum).” Honestly, he has achieved more in a single Instagram post and six words than Call Me By Your Name did with a two-hour running time.

Flume, we welcome you wholeheartedly as our grand ass-eating overlord.

In July, Streten dropped a surprise collaborative EP, Quits, with hip-hop artist, Reo Cragun. The EP marked the second collaboration between the two artists. Cragun lent his talents to Flume’s single ‘Friends.’ The track dropped the week after Streten released his mixtape Hi, This Is Flume in March.
