If you’re the sporting type, then this weekend would have been an absolute belter, with both the AFL and NRL Grand Finals taking place. Now, footage of Gang Of Youths’ performance at the latter has surfaced, and it’s everything we’ve come to expect from the group.

Gang Of Youths have been having a pretty huge year. Following the release of their chart-topping second albumGo Farther In The Lightness, the band have spent the vast majority of their time on the road.

Despite a few disasters here and there while on the road, they’ve managed to experience a few career highlights, including performing on the very first episode of Australia’s version of MTV Unplugged.

Now, following the announcement of their new MTV Unplugged live album, the group wrapped up the weekend with a huge performance at the NRL Grand Final.

Performing a huge three-song set including ‘What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?’, ‘The Heart Is A Muscle’, and ‘The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows’, fans were loving it, however, it seems some casual viewers weren’t too fond of the band’s appearance.

Of course, these folks could easily be forgiven for not knowing who Gang Of Youths are. After all, they only managed to top the ARIA charts, place thrice in the top ten of the Hottest 100 for 2017, sell out numerous dates around the world, and be hand-picked for the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam festival.

On top of that though, the band are set to kick off a massive 21-date tour later in October that has seen every single date sell out. I don’t know about you, but that tells me that Gang Of Youths might be onto something with this whole music thing.
