Frank Carter has had to cancel a series of American tour dates as he recovers from a serious car crash he was involved in last week.

The frontman of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes is lucky to be alive after being safely removed from the wreckage of a bad car accident in Devon, UK. As a result, Carter has had to cancel the band’s first week of North American touring under doctor’s orders.

The accident, that happened on Thursday night, happened when Carter was travelling with a friend.

“I crawled out of the wreck with some cuts and scrapes, a kneecap in the wrong place, bruised rubs and a headache that won’t go away.” he wrote on Instagram.

“My friend Pete was less fortunate, he was cut from the wreckage by no less than eleven firefighters with a triple fractured pelvis, ruptured spleen, multiple broken ribs and the kind of cuts and bruises you get from being hit by a car.”

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have been touring in promotion of their third studio album, End of Suffering. The band is due to tour Australia next year, hitting venues right around the country in January.
