Were you planning on going to the Glastonbury Festival in England in June next year? You’d better have been lucky enough to get your tickets or to have friends in high places because it sold out yesterday in just four hours. Even though most of the bands playing won’t be announced for around six months, all 137,500 tickets were snapped up by eager fans.

Organisers Michael and Emily Eavis said “We’re very sorry to those of you who didn’t get tickets, and acknowledge there were some issues with the website/phoneline due to the sheer volume of people trying to get through.” The event will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, on the weekend of June 24-26 2011.
