The content that we need, but don’t deserve. If you’ve ever wondered how flame shirt connoisseur Guy Fieri kicks back when he’s not preoccupied bringing flavour to the people, wonder no more.

Fieri recently took time out of his unfathomably busy schedule to watch everyone’s favourite butt-rockers, Nickelback. Fieri was spotted at the band’s headlining set at Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival in Gatineau, Quebec on Friday evening.

Thankfully, one swift fan captured a photo of Fieri, completely enamoured in the presence of Chad Kroeger. I’ve never seen such an unfiltered display of tenderness. It’s like witnessing a mother meet her child for the first time. Fieri’s eyes glisten with complete and total adoration.

As Exclaim! reports, towards the end of Nickelback’s set, he joined the band on stage for tequila shots. This is Guy Fieri’s world ladies and gents, we’re just living in it.

This is not the first time that Fieri and Kroeger have crossed paths. The Nickelback frontman appeared on an episode of Fieri’s Diners Drive-ins, and Dives — where he cooked up a mean serving of Meatloaf.

Back in April, Chad Kroeger revealed that —much to the dismay of everybody— Nickelback won’t be rushing to hit the studio any time soon.

“Now there isn’t this urgency,” Kroeger explained. “It’s not like you have this amount of time you have to make a record because we’re going to go tour.”

“It’s not [snaps fingers a few times] rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, with pressure from management, booking agents, record company. That’s not there anymore. It’s so nice and it really allows me a lot of time to, er – drink.”

Never lose your waggish spirit, Chad!
