Ahead of the release of their eagerly anticipated third album, Virtual Islands, electro masters Gypsy & the Cat have announced they are hitting the road this September for a five-date national album tour.

The dates are set to kick off in Thredbo before crossing four states and will comprise the band’s final album tour. As the duo recently confirmed, Virtual Islands will in fact be their last ever album.

“We have come to a place with the band where we feel like we have achieved the things it set out to, and are incredibly proud of the catalogue of music that we’ve built along the way,” they said.

“We are like brothers, Lionel and I, and this is in no way a sad or bitter thing, we speak every day in fact, instead it’s more of a decision to keep growing as individuals and explore our artistic limits in different incarnations.”

The pair will be celebrating all of their career highlights, including ARIA and Hype Machine-charting singles, ARIA award nominations, and three songs in the triple j Hottest 100, on their upcoming tour. Check below for details.
