Collecting eight versions of Melbourne producer Sunshine’s monster house tune, the vibe of this EP fuses deep electronic beats with a fluidity that gives listeners the option to break into full-blown dance moves or subtly sway from side to side. It offers something for hardcore partygoers as well as those who prefer not to expose their inner groove.

The blend of grooving dance beats with deep, soulful vocals is what makes the original track and its subsequent remixes so distinctive. With its body-bopping mood, it calls for comfortable shoes and a muzzle (to stop those of us who can’t properly replicate the vocals from attempting to do so).

Heartbreaker’s recent top 10 ARIA Club Chart rating was well deserved, with this collection of remixes all concentrating on varied aspects of the strong original.

The Rodean Remix sounds distinctly more upbeat from the beginning and offers a more heavily synthesised sound throughout, with less emphasis on the vocals and more focus placed on the overall layering of sounds.

Rodean’s mix is a near opposite of Silversix’s version, which is heavily weighted to vocals with less going on in the background. It allows the vocals to properly shine through and receive the acknowledgment they deserve.

The set as a whole makes you want to wear your most accommodating clubbing outfit and perform fluent dance moves until the early hours of the morning.
