A local Aussie band need your help to catch someone that stole and damaged their gear last week.

Booze-soaked punk trio, Keggin, have made a call to arms on social media after various bits and pieces of their musical equipment was stolen and ruined after a Melbourne gig last week, as Beat reports.

The band posted the following to their Facebook, along with images of the person they believe to have committed the crime: “On Thursday Night. The person pictured stole one of our backpacks from the front of the stage and proceeded to empty the contents into the Toilet Bowl at the Brunswick Hotel. The bag contained leads, effects pedals and a brand new 300 dollar microphone. If anyone knows this person, please get them to contact us so we can talk to them about damage payment before getting the police involved. Thank you.”

Just this morning, the band posted an update to Facebook thanking everyone for their support, and that they’re still on the lookout for the perpetrator.

If you’ve recently seen or know of this person, hit the guys at Keggin up so they can try and resolve the issue without having to bring law enforcement into the picture, and let this shitty incident be an example for the future – if you see someone flogging a musicians gear, tell security, this stuff isn’t cheap and many roots-level bands don’t have spare cash to splash on new equipment.
