Jazz legend Herbie Hancock has today announced that he will be returning to Australian shores this May. This follows this announcement that Hancock would close this year’s Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Hancock will be gracing stages in Perth, Brisbane, and Canberra – with Sydney dates to be announced soon. You’ll be able to experience the Master of Jazz at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on May 31 at QPAC Concert Hall on Sunday, June 2, and Canberra Theatre on June 7.

He will be joined by long-time band members, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, bassist James Genus and Lionel Louke.

Hancock is six decades and 14 Grammy Awards into his career. This is definitely not a show that you’re going to want to miss.
