It’s fair to say Kanye West has copped a lot of criticism after he announced he’ll be re-writing and re-releasing all his old music, and never performing the original versions again.

But what will these songs sound like?

Well we now have a taste, and the simple answer is; absolutely breathtaking.

In the below video Kanye West performs many songs with James Corden, including his breakout hit ‘Jesus Walks’ off his debut record College Dropout.

The result? Gospel voices that make you shiver, and the ever so slightly re-writing of lyrics that are both biographical and borderline pastoral.

In his first performance of the new version of ‘Jesus Walks‘ Kanye West changes the closing line of the song;

I want to talk to God, but I’m afraid because we ain’t spoke in so long

I want to talk to God, I ain’t afraid.

You can imagine how grand and anthemic the production will be if he chooses to re-produce the records too.
