There was some unintended high voltage action on Monday night at the final AC/DC gig in Melbourne at Etihad Stadium. A 56 year old man, according to newswire service AAP, complained of chest pains before collapsing.

As St John Ambulance volunteers examined him, he went in to cardiac arrest. According to Ambulance Victoria, a defibrillator was given the flick of the switch and used to shake him – if not all night long – for a few seconds. The statement said: “The man was also given some drugs to control his pain, and fluid to stabilise his blood pressure”. The thunderstruck man was taken down the highway to hell to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.
