Adelaide hip-hop legends Hilltop Hoods are working up a “special project,” and they’re calling on fans to help it come to life.

Calling out via Instagram, Hilltop Hoods have asked for fans to come forward with any footage or photos that punters may have of the iconic group in performance.

By posting a brief clip of them performing ‘The Sentinel’ during previous concert at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, they called out to anyone who may have old footage to step forward.

“Were starting to collect footage for a special project that we’re putting together,” the hip-hop collective detailed before asking fans to come forward with “any old professional [or] semi-professional footage or photos” of them performing to be emailed to the group.

Luckily, anyone who’s got a few goodies tucked into their hard drives that Hilltop Hoods chooses to use in their new project will have their work both “credited and compensated.”

As to what they’ve got in the works, Hilltop Hoods has kept us in the dark, so far. Considering they’ve previously released touring diaries of their time in the U.S., Europe, and more, there’s no telling what kind of archival project they could possibly be working on.

With the collective recently celebrating success in the recent 2020 Apra Music Awards by winning both Songwriter Of The Year and ‘Leave Me Lonely’ being recognised as the Most Performed Urban Work, their new project could also be in celebration of these two great achievements.

Only time will tell for what Hilltop Hoods has up their sleeves. In the mean time, take a deep dive into your old hard drives, and give the iPhone gallery a good flick through, because if you email Hilltop Hoods with any archival footage, they could be using it in this upcoming, special new project.
