Last year, it was announced that cult director Jim Jarmusch was working on a new zombie flick, The Dead Don’t Die.

The film has just released its full casting list and nothing could have prepared us for the excellence. Back in July last year, it was revealed that actors Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Adam Driver and Austin Butler would star in the film. Now even more names have been added to the star-studded lineup.

Musicians Iggy Pop, Tom Waits and Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA have all joined the project. Jarmusch has previously collaborated with all three of the musicians. RZA scored and appeared in Jarmusch’s 2000 film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. Tom Waits starred in 1987’s Down By Law, as well as cameoing in Coffee and Cigarettes alongside Iggy Pop.

The Dead Don’t Die is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 4th. It will mark Jarmusch’s first film since 2017’s critically-lauded Paterson.

Iggy Pop is set to grace Australian shores next month for Bluesfest Festival, he will also be playing headline shows in support of his appearance. Tour dates and ticket information below.
