Perth has proven a fruitful breeding ground for some of the country’s finest musical exports in recent years. With heavyweights like Tame Impala, Tired Lion and Methyl Ethyl conquering the world, the floodgates have opened up for a new scene of up and comers to prove themselves as the next-gen of hype acts.

Almond Soy have quickly cemented their reputation as one of Perth’s most exciting acts. Topping off 2018 having amassed over 200,000 streams on Spotify, as well as a series of Music Matters performances, the band have released a hypnotically playful new single ‘Apartment’.

Built around an undeniable froth-worthy riff, ‘Apartment’ is a groove-laden indie banger, oozing with charisma in every nook and cranny. Produced by Sam Ford (POND) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Tame Impala), vocalist Brandon Stockbridge has described the track as being, “a mid-tempo groove based song about reflecting and moving passed on from negative relationships in your life.”

To celebrate the single’s release, the gang will be taking their fresh take on indie around the country on a national tour, where they’ll embark on dates Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and more.

The tour is presented in partnership with Beyond Blue, in which a sum of the proceeds raised from the tour will be donated to the organization.
