During the Melbourne stop of his recent spoken word tour Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson called the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame “an utter and complete load of bollocks.” The group have been eligible for induction into the Hall Of Fame since 2005.

Responding to a fan who asked whether he thought Iron Maiden should be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Dickinson said “Absolutely,” he replied. “I actually think the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is an utter and complete load of bollocks, to be honest with you. It’s run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock and roll if it hit them in the face.”

Finishing his savage takedown of the Hall Of Fame, the heavy metal legend concluded “They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking fucking beer.” You can watch a highlight video below, including his takedown of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame below.

Over the past week, Ted Nugent and Trent Reznor have also shared their feelings towards the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Reznor told Stereogum he “couldn’t give less of a shit” about the whole thing.

The 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nominees were announced earlier this month with Stevie Nicks and Radiohead leading the pack. The class of 2019 will be formally inducted on March 29th, 2019 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
