Jameela Jamil has been the subject of some pretty intense online vitriol, and her partner ain’t having it.

Following on from the backlash she received after being named host of HBO’s new voguing competition show Legendary, The Good Place actress has been accused of having Munchausen’s Syndrome. According to podcaster and producer of the Pot Psychology show – Tracie Egan Morrissey – Jamil’s history of lying has extended back through various interviews.

Earlier this month, Morrissey shared a collection of screenshots and recordings of interviews Jamil has done, accusing her of lying about different accidents and sicknesses in order to gain sympathy and attention.

“It’s pretty disgusting to watch the woman I love just be dog piled on every day for such ridiculous things.” Blake wrote.

“She hasn’t sold dangerous products to kids. She hasn’t abused anyone. She hasn’t funded anything dangerous or brought any deliberate harm to any marginalised group. She’s just done her best as an ever learning human, as most of us are, to help other people with her privilege.”

“You don’t know what her life is, and has been like.” Blake continued.

“But I do, and I’m not gonna stand by and let some total strangers try to push my girlfriend over the edge to what…stop her from helping kids with eating disorders? Stop removing mainstream shame of talking about mental health?”

Jamil herself addressed Morrissey’s claims online, as well as Blake’s messages, calling him her ‘best friend and my biggest love’. It’s been a big few weeks for Jamil on social media as she has constantly had to defend herself against those who have targeted her for lying and embellishing stories. The backlash the actress faced after the Legendary announcement led to Jamil coming out as queer online.

Mark Ronson has been the latest individual to be drawn into this messy web of online debate, after an old interview surfaced of the singer denying a story Jamil had once relayed in a separate interview…all about bees. Yes, it’s getting that deep.

“Mark has told me he didn’t mean to paint me as a liar, he just hadn’t remembered what happened,” Jamil explained.

“It had been 5 years and maybe because he wasn’t there for the whole set up, he didn’t realise what a pain in the arse the whole thing had been.”

As for Ronson, he’s kept out of things.

“Spoke to my friend Jameela,” he posted today. “We’re good. Also bees suck.”
