Another Slipknot member has officially made the first steps towards tying the knot. Offering themselves up to the altar. Any other phrase for an engagement that you can make, well Jay Weinberg and Chloe Howcroft have done it. And in Machu Picchu no less.

According to a rather convincing Instagram post, Jay Weinberg has recently gotten engaged, posting a photo of his scenic proposal to his girlfriend Chloe Howcroft. The pair were in Machu Picchu at the time and my god is the photo gorgeous as hell. Love is alive kids, love is alive.

Weinberg definitely chose the most picturesque place to pop the question, getting down on bended knee on a dirt road overlooking the green and mountainous landscape of Machu Picchu hovering just below the clouds. One could only dream of something as romantic as this.

Slipknot is currently in the middle of touring in South America, next playing in Lima, Peru on Saturday (Nov. 23). Their South American run will continue through Dec. 8, when they finish out their touring year in Bogota, Colombia.

As soon as their holiday breaks are over, Slipknot will return to the road fairly early in the New Year, kicking off a European trek Jan. 14 in Dublin, Ireland. The tour is in support of their most recent album, the incredibly successful We Are Not Your Kind.

In recent Slipknot news, the band is setting sail in 2020 for their first-ever Knotfest at Sea cruise, scheduled for the summer stretching from Aug. 10 – 14, in the year of 2020.

Titanic walked so Knotfest at Sea could run, in what is truly the most fascinating turn of events in the Slipknot schedule. The ship for Knotfest at Sea will depart from Barcelona, Spain as Slipknot expand their Kraken-like tentacles across the entire world for domination.
