Jebediah Just Delivered The Most Unexpected Like A Version Of The Year

For most lucky Aussies, it’s been a short working week – but that doesn’t detract from the excitement that Friday instils in us, and as always, one of the greatest treats on the glorious day is our favourite radio program, Like A Version.

This week is a very special instalment, with the one and only garage rock royalty, Jebediah, who are currently on their epic 20th Anniversary national tour (see dates below) taking over the ABC studios for a smoking hot cover of The Chemical Brother’s fresh tune, ‘Go’.

Lead singer Kevin Mitchell speaking with Matt and Alex on their love for the dance music titans, “I can remember in the first share house I lived in there were Chemical Brothers CDs, this is going back to I guess the mid ’90s, and I’m sure we would have done a Big Day Out tour that they [The Chemical Brothers] were on.”

On the odd choice of song, Mitchell hilariously explained, “I just think Australia has been waiting 20 years to hear me rap, and I thought, now is the time to do it, time to give ’em what they want” as host Alex introduces the Like A Version through laughter, “alright, taking the place of Q-Tip, this is Kevin Mitchell and Jebediah performing like a version covering The Chemical Brother’s track ‘Go’.”

We won’t say much except that Kev actually killed it and the band are looking as tight as ever, we can’t wait to hit up their anniversary gig. Check out Jebediah’s belter of a Like A Version right here:
