It’s the supergroup you never knew you wanted, with Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, and Anh Do joining forces for the latest Uber Eats ad.
What’s your favourite supergroup of all time? Sure, some folks might claim the likes of Cream, Them Crooked Vultures, The Travelling Wilburys, or even Velvet Revolver amongst the best, but clearly, these same responders have never ordered Uber Eats.
Yes, for a number of years, the Aussie music scene could be summed up by many cynics as comprising of nothing but Barnesy and Farnsy, with both Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham being a constant presence atop the Aussie charts.
Now, a new ad from Uber Eats has answered the question we rarely thought to ask, and has shown us what happens when John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes join forces (only to be later joined by comedian Anh Do).
Dubbed Barnsey, Farnsy & Anhsy, the trio are the focal point of Uber Eats’ latest ‘Tonight I’ll Be Eating…” ad campaign.
Playing off of Australia love of local icons, music, and comedy, the ad sees the music legends sharing what’s on the menu for tonight, before Anh Do reminds us from behind the drumkit that he’s not much of a musician.

While we’ve previously seen the likes of Hamish & Andy, Ray Martin, and Lee Lin Chin fronting the ad campaigns, Mumbrella reports that Barnes and Farnham have both shared some comical statements about their experience in the newfound supergroup.
“He’s an inept drummer but we got him in the band because Uber wanted him in the band so that’s why he is there,” Farnham said of Anh Do’s presence in the band.
“I thought it was never going to work,” added Barnes. “When I was a young fella and John first released ‘Sadie’, from the time he was a young popstar right up to today, he is one of the best singers I’ve ever heard.”
In related news, Jimmy Barnes will be hitting the road later this year when Cold Chisel embark upon their ‘Blood Moon’ tour, while John Farnham will be lining up alongside the likes of Vampire Weekend and Halsey when he joins the Falls Festival in late December.
