When Adele recently announced her debut Australian tour, we knew it was going to be a big deal. Now, we’re realising just how lucrative this tour may be for the British singer.

As The Sydney Morning Herald reports, Adele’s upcoming tour may end up netting her close to $35 million. Not bad for a mere eight-date tour of the country.

We also found out a few days ago that Adele’s success has thrown her onto the list of highest earning musicians for 2016, with the singer making over $80 million. The tour was initially announced as a 5-date tour, but with huge demand (and numerous issues with Ticketek), 3 extra dates have been added to the artist’s tour.

With over half a million tickets sold to the announced dates, and a fierce bidding war having broken out between Aussie promoters, Adele’s maiden voyage down under looks like it could be one of the biggest tours ever undertaken in the country.
