Kanye West is plotting to make a film about his life, and he’s tapped an unexpected actor for the lead role.
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night, comedian and Vice Principals star Danny McBride revealed that West had visited him in Charleston, South Carolina to discuss the film.
“He had an idea for a project, which I think is a pretty brilliant idea. He wanted to do a movie about the story of his life, and he wanted me to play him,” McBride shared. “So I thought it was a cool enough idea to be like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to hang out and talk about it.’ So, he came down [to Charleston], we hung out, went out on a boat, and just talked.”
McBride then went on to detail an encounter that the pair had with McBride’s son. “He was just standing there waiting for us. And he’s like ‘Papa, do you think Kanye West wants to watch me play Fortnight?’ And I’m just like [to Kanye] ‘Do you want to watch him play Fortnight? And [Kanye’s] like ‘Yeah.’ And then we just sat there and watched my son play Fortnight. And then he flew home.”
Kanye, a true man of the people. We’re just wondering whether or not he’s considered the acting chops of Scarlett Johannson to take on this highly-coveted role. You can watch the full interview below.
