Barely 48 hours after the release of his latest record, Kanye West has apparently shocked loyal fans who might have hoped to hear his classic material played live in the future.

If you’ve been following the news over the last few… well, year, really, you’d be aware that this weekend was a big one for fans of Kanye West.

Having promised a new record in September of 2018, numerous delays and cancelled projects finally saw Jesus Is King being released on Friday.

A gospel album at its core, the record has divided opinions across the board, with Kanye reportedly claiming this will be the genre he focuses on from here on in, having come close to quitting rap due to it being “the devil’s music”.

The record itself came following a rather insightful interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, which saw Kanye not only claim that his love of God helped him to overcome a “full-on pornography addiction”, but that his highly-criticised support for Donald Trump was “God’s practical joke on all liberals”, while also claiming he would be President one day.

But the news hasn’t quite finished there though, with TMZ releasing footage showing Kanye explaining that he plans to kick off a tour for the new record “right away”.

Now, this is exciting news, right? Well, not for fans of Kanye’s classic material, it seems.

As TMZ again reports, sources have revealed that Kanye’s live shows will look far different in the future, with the artist reportedly set to no longer perform his old “secular” music in its original form.

Now, this doesn’t mean that we’ll no longer hear tracks like ‘Gold Digger’ again, but it does mean that the lyrics will reportedly be changed to be somewhat less offensive, and more in line with his newfound Christian faith.

It also means that the 2013 track ‘I Am A God’ will likely be wiped from the setlist completely.

Finally, to cap off what has been a rather strange week for both Kanye West and his fans, The Church Of Satan has come forth to respond to Jesus Is King, claiming that “Satan is the best friend Kanye has ever had, as he will keep him in business all these years.”

In true Kanye style, we can only assume that things will continue to get wilder by the time we receive Jesus Is Born, which is reportedly set for a December release.
