It has been a hectic year for Lil Nas X, and it seems like things are finally beginning to take its toll.

After cancelling two dates in the US, Lil Nas X has let fans know he’ll be taking a bit of a break from music – things have gotten a little too real. Currently, Lil Nas X is still all over the charts with ‘Old Town Road’ and ‘Panini’, not to mention on stage after stage throughout 2019.

“It’s been a wild last 7 months,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I’m ready to take a little time off. Sorry to everyone attending TwitchCon or the Sandbox  Music Festival, I will not be there. I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”

In other Lil Nas X news, Fiona Apple has called him out over using a sample of her song ‘Every Single Night’ on an older track of his, ‘Kim Jong’. The song appeared on Lil Nas X’s Nasarati mixtape in 2012.

Apple addressed the sample after her recent interview with Vulture, uploading a video to the internet and letting followers know.

“One thing that the lovely [Vulture journalist] Rachel Handler didn’t mention that I did say in the interview, which I would just like to say now, is that Lil Nas X, you’re probably really great, but you used my song ‘Every Single Night’ too.”

“You sampled that song too in a song called ‘Kim Jong Un’, I think. And, um, where’s my money, you cute little guy? Where’s my money?”
