Lil Nas X has finally made his TV performance debut of his record-breaking single ‘Old Town Road.’ The 20-year-old featured as the musical guest on Showtime’s Desus & Mero.
Before taking to the stage, Lil Nas X was interviewed about the country music Billboard controversy, collaborating with Billy Ray Cyrus and passing on Coachella in favour of playing Stagecoach. Check out the performance and interview below.

This marks the second time the track has been performed live. It was debuted at Stagecoach weeks ago during Diplo’s set, where Lil Nas rocked out alongside Billy Ray Cyrus. We are genuinely impressed at the standard of live performance from Lil Nas, it would only make sense for Mr. Bruce Springsteen to consider the yeehaw king as a support act for any upcoming performances.
Lil Nas also joined hosts for a game of “Country or Nah”, where Lil Nas X was asked to determine whether an item or concept was deemed country or “nah.” Check out the good gospel below.
