Lil Uzi Vert has claimed that Jay-Z once compared him to the eternal pop legend, Prince.

The Philadephia rapper took to Twitter earlier this week to share that Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports president Juan ‘OG’ Perez compared the ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ to the late icon.

“OG and Hov said I’m Like Prince, so I’m Lil Prince now,” Lil Uzi Vert tweeted. In a follow-up tweet, Uzi added. “Thank you … Des, Juan and Hov. Changing my life as we speak.” Make of it what you will.

Lil Uzi Vert recently dominated the headlines after getting a USD $24 million pink diamond implanted onto his forehead. The rapper revealed that he has spent several years paying off the“10 almost 11 carats” diamond and that it’s worth more than his house and various cars combined.

“Yes my Bugatti can’t even pay for it all my cars together,plus home,” he wrote in a tweet. “this took so long now I can get this money.”

You’ve gotta hand it to Uzi, if I were a cashed-up celebrity with money to burn through this is exactly the kind of stupid shit I’d want to pull.

The body modification prompted a bizarre interaction between Uzi and Grimes that saw the pair vow to get “brain chips” together.

The “brain chips” in question are all part of Elon Musk’s experimental Neurolink start-up: a brain-computer interface he’s been chipping away at since 2016.

Musk aims to develop technology that connects the brain to a computer in a process “as simple as LASIK surgery”, as a means to provide long-term treatment for neurological conditions like Alzheimers and spinal chord injuries. Musk also hopes that the chips will eventually help humans compete with AI.

In the words of Grimes, “it’s experimental surgery but if it succeeds we’ll have the knowledge of the Gods haha”. Life’s a trip, man.
