The Los Angeles Police Department are reportedly investigating footage that shows US rapper Lil Xan pulling a gun on a man who heckled him over previous remarks where he called Tupac “boring”.

Over the last couple of months, there has been plenty of discussion about the controversial SoundCloud rapper Lil Xan.

Having made headlines for tearing a hole in his stomach lining with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, the musician later became wrapped up in a short-lived controversy surrounding his fiancée and the reported miscarriage of their child following a pregnancy which may or may not have been faked.

However, while Lil Xan has managed to attract quite a fanbase, the rapper has also divided fans of the genre, infamously calling Tupac Shakur’s music “boring”, rating the late icon a mere two out of nine, and even claiming that Beethoven was better.

Now it seems as though Xan’s opinion on Tupac has spilled out into the streets, with the rapper coming to the attention of the LAPD after pulling a gun on a man.

As TMZ reports, footage recorded on Friday shows Lil Xan arguing with a man in the parking lot of a 7/11.

“You a bitch, homie. Look at this little bitch, homie. Do something, dog,” the man filming the altercation can be heard saying. While Lil Xan responds by asking “What the fuck you want?” and dropping the N-word, the man recording soon notes that the rapper has pulled a gun.

As Lil Xan retreats to his car, his fiancée Annie Smith can be heard yelling “you started it, you dumb fuck,” as the rapper and the man filming continue to taunt each other.

Taking to Instagram later, Lil Xan wrote a message to his followers in which he explained the incident and shared his opinions on the infamous Tupac quote.

“The media is gonna try and twist what just happened at a gas station, I was about to be attacked and resorted to having to use self defense,” he explained.

“Fuck all you old head ass bitches still talking bout that 2pac shit. Live your own life and stop picking on a kid,” he concluded, seemingly forgetting that he is a 22-year-old man.

While the rapper is correct in noting we have no idea what transpired prior to the start of the footage, no further updates have come through as to whether the LAPD has questioned Lil Xan in relation to the incident.
