Lil Yachty has reached out to fellow rapper Drake after he landed himself on Nick Minaj’s block list and copped the wrath of her dedicated fans – the Barbz.
In a new interview with TMZ, the 23-year-old rapper revealed he’s unfortunately still in Nicki Minaj’s bad books after he copped major backlash for comments he made in 2018 where he seemed to side with Cardi B at the height of the female hip hop artists’ beef.
“It’s the Barbz, man. They’re still killing me,” Yachty said in the interview. “I woke up yesterday to a heat of fire under my butt from the Barbz.”
“And the thing about that was I think I’m just big on loyalty,” Lil Yachty added.
“I got a lot of love for Cardi B and she’s a damn-near family member so I’ll do whatever. I’m gonna ride. But I never — I’ve loved Nicki Minaj since I was a child.
It seems Yachty has gone to great lengths to win back the ‘Super Bass’ rapper, including retweeting old fan tweets about Nicki, pleading with the Barbz a few weeks ago, and even reaching out to the hip hop icon’s friends, like Drake.
“Yesterday I went on Twitter to retweet my tweets from middle school of me praising Nicki, and then I went on Instagram live to let the world know Nicki Minaj has me blocked.”

“I even hit Drake, I’m like, ‘Yo Drake, tell Nicki I love her. I love her to death,’” he said laughing. “I checked this morning, I’m still blocked.”
Back in 2018, Cardi also took aim at Nicki’s legion of followers after they came for her older sister, Hennessy.
“Throw yourself off a balcony,” she said in the Instagram Live clip at the time.
“I shouldn’t be talkin’ but you know how I get when people fuckin’ start with Hennessy. If you a grown ass woman or a grown ass n***a under comments talking shit my n***a, you need a fuckin’ life. You need to cut your muthafuckin’ veins ’cause y’all n***as need help.”
