The third volume of Jack Antonoff’s Terrible Thrills series has arrived. Previous additions to the series have seen female musicians reimagine songs from Jack Antonoff’s discography.
2010’s Vol. 1 featured covers of songs from Antonoff’s first band, Steel Trail. 2015’s Vol.2 consisted of a bunch of female artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Charli XCX rework Bleachers debut record Strange Desire.
Now Vol. 3 is being released in the form of a series of four 7-inch records. Vol. 3 will feature Bleachers songs from Gone Now re-imaged by Mitski, Julien Baker, Ani Difranco and Muna. It will also feature demos and reworked versions of the songs. Unlike the other volumes, Vol. 3 will only be released on vinyl.
Thankfully, Jack Antonoff wouldn’t do us dirty like that and has given permission to the people that purchased his record to upload the tracks online for the rest of us poor bastards to enjoy.

Listen to it below, it’s an absolute dream.
Mitski’s interpretation of ‘Let’s Get Married’ is a more stripped-back, tender take on the track. In a since-deleted tweet, Jack Antonoff described her version as “how it sounded when i first wrote it. drums and big production came later.
Joining Mitski’s cover is an alternative version of ‘Dream of Mickey Mantle’, renamed ‘Mickey Mantle Comes Alive.’ listen to it below.
