Apart from the occasional unannounced upload to their Bandcamp page, we haven’t heard much from avant R&B duo THEESatisfaction since their incredible 2012 debut album awE naturalE.
Following on for this incredible debut, the duo comprised of Stasia “Stas” Irons and Catherine “Cat” Harris-White, have emerged with their hypnotic single ‘Recognition’ and the announcement of their second LP titled EarthEE set for release early next year.
EearthEE was produced by THEESatisfaction and Erik Blood, who worked with them on their debut, as well as records from Shabazz Palaces and Vox Mod. Besides the core duo of Stas and Cat, EarthEE promises guest appearances from Shabazz Palaces, Meshell Ndegeocello, Porter Ray, Erik Blood and Taylor Brown.
EarthEE is out this 20th February 2015 on Sub Pop Records through Inertia who continue to be releasing some of the most mindbending forward thinking R&B and hip hop we’ve seen of late (see: Young Fathers, Shabazz Palaces, Clipping)
