The ListenOut 2013 set times have been announced, with the organisers of the new boutique electronic music festival revealing the timetables for each leg of the event.
The full ListenOut 2013 lineup – which features headliners Disclosure, Azealia Banks, AlunaGeorge, Classixx, and much more – are now all locked and loaded for the festival’s showings in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, held across two stages and the adjacent Red Bull sponsored Crate Diggers stage.
On the whole, festival promoters Fuzzy (the team behind Field Day, Harbourlife, Shore Thing, and the ‘on hold’ Parklife) have done a serviceable job piecing together a music schedule that ensures punters can get the most of the ListenOut 2013’s two main stages.
The Lawrence brothers of Disclosure get the closing set in each city, finishing off ListenOut 2013 all to themselves with the separate 909 stage closing specifically for their set. There’s likely to be a bit of contention over the rush from the end of AlunaGeorge’s set to catch Azealia Banks on the main stage, and fans may be split on the choice between Classixx and AlunaGeorge as well.
Otherwise the timing provides plenty of overlap between the likes of Aussie acts like Hayden James and RUFUS, while the Crate Diggers stage provides a unique lineup in each of the four capital cities.
“Say goodbye to endless timetable clashes, long hikes to the 12th stage and spending your day with several thousand people you can’t relate to. Listen Out is the right party, and we mean party not festival, for the right people,” is how Fuzzy described ListenOut 2013 upon its announcement as the replacement for Parklife, calling it a “carefully handcrafted party,” that’s of the philosophy of ‘the best, not biggest’.
