Last week took a confusion and frightening situation and made it that much more frightening and confusing. The only thing we can take solace in now is the fact that there are still good people out there who want to make the planet suck just a little less.
Case in point, Tasmanian punks Luca Brasi want to pay it forward and shine a little light in these dark times by announcing that over the next week they will be donating 50 percent of profits from their merch store and all profits from their Bandcamp to to support LGBTQI+ youth.
“In light of a shitty week for mates across the globe, here’s something small to make some kind of difference,” the band, who are fresh off one of the biggest Aussie rock tours of the year with Violent Soho, The Bronx, and Tired Lion, wrote on social media.
“50% of profits from our merch store and all profits from our Bandcamp (whole catalogue is pay what you wish) over the next week are being donated to Minus18 to support LGBTI+ young people across Australia. Stick together, don’t let em win.”
If you want to help Luca Brasi make a difference, head on over to the 24Hundred merch store to pick up some Luca Brasi goodies now or head on over to the band’s official Bandcamp page and chuck ’em a few bucks for some awesome tunes that will help make the world a cooler place to live in.
