Marilyn Manson and Steven Tyler have served as special guests during a performance by Los Angeles supergroup Hollywood Vampires.

Since 2015, the world of rock music has played host to a rather special supergroup. Named Hollywood Vampires, the group is made up of Alice Cooper, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and Johnny Depp, and aimed to reclaim the rock excess of the ’70s.

While the band released their debut album back in 2015, they’re currently gearing up to release a new album, Rise, next month.

To celebrate this upcoming album, the group hit up Los Angeles’ iconic Greek Theatre where they were joined by a couple of familiar faces.

As NME notes, Hollywood Vampires had already powered through a set of originals and covers by bands like The Doors, AC/DC, Johnny Thunders, and The Who when two of rock’s most recognisable names invaded the stage.

Welcoming Marilyn Manson onstage for a cover of Alice Cooper’s ‘I’m Eighteen’, the guest stars didn’t stop there, with Joe Perry’s Aerosmith bandmate Steven Tyler coming up to sing lead on Tiny Bradshaw’s ‘The Train Kept A-Rollin”.

In related news, Marilyn Manson revealed that his upcoming album is “more than half” completed, noting it features a collaboration with US outlaw country musician Shooter Jennings.

“I felt like it was a good time for a change,” Marilyn Manson explained. “And I became friends with Shooter.”

“He’s a musical genius. Shooter, he kind of reminds me of The Dude from The Big Lebowski… But we have this different vibe where I don’t have to really tell him what I’m thinking.”

“I didn’t know this, but he was a fan of what I did growing up, also underneath his father, Waylon Jennings. So he adds a completely different element.”
